NYE Adventure (Part 3)

Here I am!!...did you miss me?!...i hope so!!...haha!...anyway…im back with the final portion of my new year’s eve adventure…and its finally time to actually talk about NYE!!...haha!!...this one is a little bit longer than the others…you’ve been warned!!...haha!!

Like I said last time, I had to go to work on Monday…it was brutal…im not even going to pretend like it wasn’t…I stayed in contact with the girls throughout the day…little sis got home from work around 11 which happened to be when the other girls were waking up…we all decided that we wanted to do vip again…we didn’t want to go overboard so we thought bronze would be fine…the only problem was I wasn’t sure if I would get out of work early enough to make it to the vip in time…we all had our fingers crossed…while I was working the girls worked on signs for “this is us” and “trouble is” because we wanted them to sing those songs at the sound check…the girls left at some point in the early afternoon to make their way to PA but little sis waited for me…I told her not to but she did anyway…which turned out to be a good thing…I did get out of work early but when I left I knew I would be cutting it close…so little sis brought me clothes to change into and we left right from the train station when she picked me up…

The drive there was kinda stressful…we really didn’t know if we were gonna make it or not…we were def counting on backstreet time to work in our favor…oh just a quick fun fact about the car ride…when little sis handed me the jeans she brought for me to change into I said “omg little sis this is the same outfit I wore the first time we met big time rush!!”…she looked at me and said “youre kidding right because this is the same outfit I was wearing the first time we met them”…haha!!!...how funny is that?!?...okay back to the story…as we were getting closer I stayed almost in constant contact with kentucky girl…we were about 5 mins away when she said that justin just got there…

Little sis parked the car and the two of us pretty much ran from the parking garage into the casino…after we went past security we followed the signs to the venue…we thought we found it but no one was there for vip so we started to freak out a little bit…turns out the vip line was inside the bar/lounge place…and we couldn’t just go in because they had to check ids first…I wasn’t sure if they were gonna let us in or not but then Kentucky girl found someone who worked there to help us out…so thank you Kentucky girl!!...when we got in mostly everyone was checked in and justin seemed to be running around like crazy…so we just waited for him to calm down so we could buy our vips…

We were able to buy our bronze vips and then I bet you cant guess what happened next…that’s right…more waiting!!!...haha!!...we were standing in line just chit chatting…we started talking to the girl standing behind us a little bit…and before we really said anything to her I noticed her bracelet…I practically jumped at her while pointing at the bracelet and said “is that a big time rush bracelet?!?”…she was all kinds of excited that we knew who btr was…haha!...it was so much fun talking to her about our boys…she was a nick/carlos girl just like the cruiser so they bonded…haha!!…we kept talking about both bsb and btr…then somehow dustin came up…she didn’t know who he was so the Canadian was all excited and was like “oh! hes my boyfriend!!!”…the girl was like “okay…you go girl!”…haha!…the whole thing was so funny…
Some more time passed and the 5 of us ended up sitting on the floor playing taboo…we changed the rules a little to make it so we can only use boyband related clues…it was a lot of fun…its amazing how easy it is to relate just about anything to the boybands we love…this really helped pass the time because before we knew it they were letting us in…since we had bronze we were last…but that’s okay…

It was so weird that the backstreet boys were already on stage when we were walking in…they even started singing (“I still”) before everyone was at their seats…pretty much everyone was sitting down but I did not allow my girls to do such a thing…so when we got to our seats we all remained standing…we were probably 8 rows back or so…im not sure…I didn’t really count…when “I still” was done they asked which song we want to hear next…so we all held up our “trouble is” signs…so they sang that…yay!!...but it was with the help of google…when the song started they were like howie this is you…and he has like “no its not me”…it was totally him…haha!!...it always so much fun to watch when things like that happen…good thing brian was there cause he seems to always remember all the words…

Or so we thought…our next request was “this is us”…so we held up our signs and nick was like “they all want to hear the scissors!…look! the scissors! the scissors! the scissors! the scissors! the scissors!”…as he said it he pointed to each one of our signs…it was pretty funny…he was all excited to sing it…but then the music started and weird world was playing…so they stopped it…then this is us started and they thought it was the wrong song again…haha!…so they made the sound guy stop it….but then the realized it was right so they started it over…this time all four of them gathered around nicks phone to read the words (im beginning to think that nick has bsb lyrics bookmarked on his phone!...haha!)…I cant believe even brian forgot…its all so funny!!...(if you want to see videos of this just hop on over to youtube and check it out)

After the singing portion it was time for questions…the cruiser was lucky enough to ask nick a question…she asked who is responsible for backstreet time…and nick’s grand answer was just pointing his finger at aj…aj admitted that it was his fault today but then he told the cruiser that he would give her an extra hug at meet and greet time…(too bad we only had bronze and had to leave before the m&g)…a couple more questions were asked after that and then it was brians turn for a question…I raised my hand…waved it around a little…ya know made a big deal…so justin came over and handed me the mic…yesss!!! (yes I actually said yessss…haha!)…first I told them that I was the reigning bsb cruise door dec champion…so they clapped for me…can we just pause for a second and take that in…the backstreet boys clapped for me…that is insane!!...okay back to my question…I asked them if there was a boyband softball league who could they beat…they talked about it for a while but the short answer is brian said they could beat all of them at anything…I agree!!!...I thought I had a pretty original question…right?!...it was fun…

Then sadly our vip experience had to come to an end…sure it would have been great to get another picture with them but its okay that we didn’t…we had a really great time even without that…cause lets be honest…we totally ran the show…I mean we picked 2 out of 3 songs AND we asked 2 out of 4 questions…considering how many people were in there, that’s really awesome…oh and little james was sitting behind us the whole time…again I will say he is so freaking cute!!!

We ended up with a lot of time to kill before the concert started…so we went to the food court to get something to eat…we sat there for a while chit chatting away…then we started to stroll around…we ran into video girl so we talked to her for a while…then we heard that they were giving out seat upgrades...so we went to find where they were doing this...I was able to trade in my row 23 seats for row 17...not a huge difference but ill take it!...5 rows is 5 rows!!...the cruiser and kentucky girl were already in row 17 so they didn't need to upgrade...and the Canadian was in row 3 so she definitely didn’t need to exchange her ticket!...haha!!...

There was STILL lots of time before the show so we found a quiet place to sit down close to where the upgrade table was…and we continued our game of boyband taboo…the best part was when it was little sis’ turn…she said something like “at mixtape we went to the thing with the backstreet boys outside…bsbbq”…so I said “barbeque!!”…so she goes “yeah, but what does the B stand for?”…I said “bar???”…she said no…then some said barbeque?...so she was like “yeah! Barbeque! That’s it!!”…I was like “omg little sis! I just said that!!!”…and to that she said “oh!”…haha!!...we were all dying!!...so freaking funny!!!

after about an hour the hotel security told us we couldn’t sit there anymore…so we got up and collected all of our stuff…with nothing else left to do we planned a meeting spot for after the show and we figured we might as well go into the concert…it should have been a simple task…the concert was 21+ so we had to show our ids to get in…one by one we showed our licenses but then the security guy stopped the canadian…he said that a Canadian license isn’t good enough and she needed to show her passport…she didn’t have her passport…the guy was giving her a really hard time…it was awful…we were all telling the guy that we were already in there and shes been in and out of the casino all night and no one ever said anything about needing a passport…she was about to cry…and I don’t blame her!!...we got a final plea into the security guy and it must have worked because the guy finally let her in…who knew it would be so difficult and traumatizing to get into a backstreet boys concert…=/

as soon as we were all in we dispersed to our seats…when little sis and I got to our seats there was no one around us…there was a dj playing lots of fun music so we danced a little bit…we were kinda in our own world having a grand old time…the seats stared filling in but our whole row was empty…so kentucky girl and the cruiser ended up coming over to our side and sitting next to us for the show!!

the concert!!!!...ahhhh!!!....it was so so so good!!....it was similar to the show the night before but there were some differences…they took out the solos…which I was totally bummed about…I really wanted to see howie sing 100 again!…ugh!...oh well…even without the solos I was screaming and singing and dancing and having soooo much fun…being at a backstreet boys concert is probably my number one happiest place on earth!!!
Toward the end of the concert it was almost midnight….so they kinda paused the show….they put a live feel of times square on the big screens…and then they counted down to midnight with us…the boys all had giant Champaign bottles that were really confetti shooters!...that was a lot of fun…and all of their families came out on stage with them which was sweet!...when the clock struck 12 everyone yelled HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!...there was balloons and confetti and streamers flying all over the place…so much fun!!...i gave all my girls great big squeeeeezes!!!... I couldn’t have asked for a better way to ring in the new year…at my favorite concert with my favorite people!!...it was absolutely perfect…((okay so maybe a kiss at midnight would have made it better…but lets not talk about that!!...haha!!))
after the ball drop the concert resumed…there were only a few songs left…then Backstreets Back started…it is my favorite to watch live…there is just something about it that gets me so excited…its such a high energy song and the crowd always goes wild!!...i love it…the only bad part was I knew it was the last song and this amazing concert was coming to an end…boo!!...

after the show, the four of us started to head to our meeting spot…on our way we ran into some of our friends…of course we had to stop and chat with them…they had platinum vip so they were on stage during “if I knew then”…I told them they were superstars up there!!...then they were telling us all about it and how cool it was…I gotta admit im a little jealous!!...anyway then one of them said to little sis  “are you secretly dating aaron carter? You have so many pictures with him!!”…haha!!...we all laughed and she said no!...haha!!...i probably could have stood there and talked to them for another hour but the canadian was waiting for us so we left…

we finally made our way to the meeting spot…and proceeded to tell stories about all the old people sitting around us…haha!!...then it was time to go…I really hated saying goodbye to everyone… we had sooo much fun that weekend and saying goodbye meant that it was over…boo!!...but it had to be done…it was getting really late and we all had to hit the road…after some final squeezes all around we headed to our cars…
the drive home was quick and painless…much shorter than the drive home from atlantic city the night before…little sis fell asleep while the Canadian and I got lost in fantasy world for a while…that was fun!...haha!!...

aaaand that’s about it folks!!...i hope you had just as much fun reading about my nye adventures as I had participating in them (and then recapping them!!...haha!!)…if you missed them please be sure to check out part 1 and part 2!!

Ahhhh such a fun new years!! Boyband taboo....the The Scissors!! The scissors was probably one of my fave parts :D My only problem is that no matter how long our adventures are, they are never long enough!

I agree with Laura...our adventures are never long enough. That is why Mega Tour is a must...

Hey, I was searching for information about the VIP upgrades for the Backstreet Boys concert this year, and I ended up finding your post where you compare theirs with btr's.
I loved the details you wrote there! As I've never been to a meet & greet session, I have no idea of how it works and your post helped me to understand.
I am about to get my VIP package for the concert in Virginia Beach, so a silly question came up: what do you think would be the better experience, the group meet and greet or the individual one?
The only difference between Silver and Gold packages is this point, besides $100. I don't mind paying more, honestly, but I am really looking for the better experience since it's the very first time I'll be seeing them.
Please, please, please, let me know what you think!
And again, thank you for sharing your experience with our boys! =)
