smallville season 1

in my last posting i said that i decided to watch smallville from the beginning...last night i finished season 1...so thought i should share my thoughts on it...=)

seaason 1 was your basic bad guy of the week format...sure there was a continuous overall story but the episodes could be played in any order and you can still follow along...i love season 1 cause it intoduces the audience into the world of superman and pretty much goes over all of the basics...ya know...

as i watched these episodes i realized that i forgot how much of a chlark (chloe + clark) fan i am...we all know that clark is destined to be with lois but as a freshman in high school it was chloe and lana in the running for his love...i think the reason i wanted chole to get the guy is becuase i can relate to her more than i can with lana...minus the journalism and all the wacky things that happened i was chloe in high school...just a normal girl with a serious crush on her best friend...all i wanted was for him to ask me to the junior prom...when i found out he was gonna ask someone else i was devestated...to be completly honest i almost didnt go...((last minute miss lisa asked richard to go with me so i went...we had fun...so im glad i went with him instead of not going at all))...watching chloe want to be with clark so badly and almost have him just to see clark run off to save lana really hit home with me...of course my junior prom was 7 years ago and im completely over it now...but when your 16 that kind of stuff stings a little...i dont think ill ever forget it (partly because i have an awesome memory and partly because prom is a big deal when youre in high school so its hard to forget the stuff you think is important from that time period)...

ummm...i didnt really intend to drag on about things from the distant past...its just that watching smallville really dug up these memories for me...oh well...

so now its onto season 2 for me...maybe i'll have a review when im done...but maybe not i havent decided yet...=)...
