Boyband Bonanza (day one)

Boyband bonanza weekend was a weekend packed with all kinds of boyband fun!!!...its too much excitement to put in one entry so per usual ill break it down day by day...

Lets start off with our awesome countdown that pretty much sums up the weekend...we had this on our day 1 shirts AND written all over the boyband bonanza mobile!...(by the way we got tons of compliments on the tshirts!!)

5 boybands (backstreet boys, big time rush, new kids on the block, the wanted, and 98 degrees)

4 decades (80s, 90s, 00s and today)

3 days (august 17 - 19, 2012)

2 states (pa and va)

1 non-stop PARTY!!!

it says 98* in the corner but you cant see it with the glare

Friday around noon time we packed into the boyband bonanza mobile and  started our journey to hershey pa...it took us just under 3 hours to get there with little sis driving..the ride went by pretty fast...with 5 girls chatting, singing and dancing in the car of course its gonna go by quickly!!...

we checked into our hotel and headed over hershey park...we pulled into the special vip parking lot and then proceeded to wait on a long line to check into vip for mixtape festival...of course little one started to freak out because she didnt think we would get inside by 5 when aaron carter's set was scheduled to start...the freak out was not needed because we got our vip laminates and wristbands and we were inside with plenty of time to spare!!!...side note: i just want to say there is something about walking around with a vip laminate around your neck that makes you feel really special!!

As soon as we got inside it started to down pour...im not sure why i said inside because we were in the stadium but we were still outside...i purchased a hershey park poncho...best $5 i ever spent in my life!!!...haha!!!...

because of this sudden downpour aaron's set was pushed back...when he finally took the stage, he did an amazing job!!!...he sang saturday night, aaron's party and i want candy...he looked great and sounded great...little aaron carter is all grown up and lookin good...the worst part about his set was it was only 3 songs long...but those 3 songs were WAY better than the joke of a concert i went to back in january...

After aaron's set we walked around a bit...we checked out the vip tent...nothing too special but it was shelter from the rain...and they had free bottle water in there for us...and snacks...we didnt stay in the vip tent forever...we also watched some of the other sets...we watched carolina liar for a little bit...and fist pumped with dj pauly d

Next up was time for eating...i had a mini pizza and it was actually quite delish...we sat at some picnic tables and chatted with a bunch of our friends...of course i had to tell my big time skpe call story again (i seriously cant get over how cool that was!!)...we talked about a bunch of other things too...it was great catching up with everyone...

After eating most of the girls went to find a spot to stand for nkotb...little sis and i decided that we wanted a really awesome spot for kelly clarkson so we didnt stand close for new kids...this also gave us an opportunity to see the fray...they were pretty good...i only knew a few songs but they sounded great...

New kids were next...by choosing to stand by stage a and not b little sis and i ended up right where they came out for their set...so it worked out for us...we did end up going over by the b stage for a little bit during our fav dirty dancing...but then we went back to the a stage and planted ourselves in the front row!!!...anyway some people may disagree with this but i stand by my decision...new kids did the exact same set as they did on the nkotbsb tour...the only difference was there were no backstreet boys in between...and those are the best parts...haha!!!...

Kelly clarkson closed the night...omg...she was sooo good!!!...i always thought she was amazing but after seeing her live, WOW!!!...there really isnt too much more to say...she was so cute and sounded fabulous...and i kinda love that she doesnt wear shoes...as a shoe hater myself i really appreciate this...haha!...see her from the front row was so cool...we could hear her singing without the microphone...and again i must say WOW!!!!...one momre thing i have to say about kelly clarkson...i never realized how much she looks like big sis..i was shocked!!..haha!!

After kelly's set we headed over the the vip tent for the after party...nothing too exciting going...we danced a little bit...chatted a little bit...and took a few photos...then we decided it was time to go...we packed back into the boyband bonanza mobile and headed back to the hotel...

And that concludes the festivities for the first day of boyband bonanza...ill be back shortly with days 2 and 3 of boyband fun!!!
