what's better than PLATINUM???

NOTHING!!!!!!

this past weekend i was in houston tx on another backstreet adventure!...you may be wondering why i would go all the way to houston...the answer to that is a simple one...the concert was on a saturday night so i didnt have to miss any work...and houston is pretty easy to get to from newark...

what made this concert more special than the rest of the ones ive been to is that little sis and i had platinum vip!!!...for those of you unfamiliar with what that consists of ill give you a quick overview before i get into all the juicy details...with out vip pass we got to go to soundcheck, have a q&a, take a picture with the boys, got a signed 8x10, we went on a backstage tour, and a photo and signature with the tour guide...pretty exciting stuff right?!...well it is to me!!!

so lets get into it shall we?...for the soundcheck part they took requests from the audience...little sis and i wanted them to sing "trouble is"...we knew they probably wouldnt be we tried anyway...they sang "drowning"...i really like drowning but they sing that during the concert...i would have rather heard a song they didnt sing...so little sis and i had to switch our game plan...for the most part they'll sing any single or siberia...and we heard siberia last time...so we had to pick a single that they dont sing..."more than that" was the perfect choice...we started yelling for more than that and a bunch of other people were yelling for "as long as you love me"...alaylm? really?...i mean come one you KNOW that they are going to sing that in the show...it would be such a waste...we knew that there was no way we could let alaylm win...so we started chanting more than that more than that...and we won!...haha! yay!!!...

next up was the question and answer segment...justin (their photographer) was running the show...he explained that we could ask one question per boy...he said "lets start with howie, who has a question for howie?"...uncharacteristically so my hand shot up, waved around and i said "pick me pick me!!"...so justin walked right over to me and handed me the mic! WHAAAAT?!?...this is where i would typically start to panic...nope not this time...the words came out no problem...i said "hiiii! im ashley and im from new jersey! we cam here to see you guys because we are super fans! *giggle* so my question isss in many a interview these guys have said that they call you trump jr, so i want to know if you would ever go on celebrity apprentice? and if so do you think you have a legitimate shot at winning?"...right away brian was like great question!...and nick and aj were like yeah you should do it you would be soo good and other stuff like that...so when they all stopped talking howie answered and he said that celebrity apprentice is actually one of his favorite shows he watches with his wife all the time...then he said yeah! if they asked him and he had the time he would def do it!!...it made me really happy that they all seemed to like my question...even if they didnt like it they still made me feel like they did...and thats all that matters!...i tried to come up with something that they havent heard before...and maybe this will plant the seed and one day we will see my little howito on my tv screen every week...

after that the other 3 were asked their questions...if you want to know what they were please ask and ill give you all the details!...but as far as im concerned they werent as good as mine!...haha!...im just kidding of course...

next up was picture time...barricades and no hugs...double boo!!!...but ya know what...a handshake is better than nothing...so ill take what i can get...i do have a slight problem with the barricades...my problem has nothing to do with wanting to be closer and everything to do with most of the pictures come out really bad...one person standing there like and idiot infront and the 4 of them trying their best to squish in...so as soon as i saw the barricade my wheels started turning...i refused to have a stupid picture...standing in the line i kept trying different things but i didnt really like any of them...then all of a sudden i was next...oh no! what was i going to do?!?...so i walked over to them and said hello to aj, then nick, then brian and when i got to my main squeeze he said that was a really great question!...eeek!...im pretty sure i said thank you...then it was really picture time...so i blurted out can you guys like reach out or something...like arms everywhere...(when i said this i was picturing 2005 she moves group picture in my head...haha!)...so they were like reach? like this?...and i was like yeah yeah yeah!...then i saw their arms out of the corner of my eye...so they did it...little sis says it looked really cool...but i havent seen the picture yet so fingers crossed it came out good!...

so right after the picture was taken howie continued to talk to me!!!...he asked me where in jersey im from and he said where his wife is from and asked me if i knew where is was...so i had an actual conversation with him...sure it was short but it was a conversation...which is a huge improvement from last time i had the opportunity to do so...remember this mishap?...haha!...

the whole thing could have been over at that moment and i would have totally been okay with it!!...but it wasnt over...we still had a backstage tour to get to...our tour guide was none other that the amazing mr nick carter!!!...he showed us all kinds of cool stuff about all the moving pieces of the tour right down to the signs they put on the walls so they dont get lost...when he was talking about the signs he said "these are very important because these places are huge and most of us are kinda stupid"...so i loudly said "oh stop it!"...i got a chuckle out of him (and a lot of the other girls too!...haha!)

when the tour was over everyone got to take a picture with nick...so gave everyone a chance to say whatever they wanted to him...it didnt seem like anyone was saying anything but i dont know maybe i just wasnt paying attention...i didnt really have anything planned to say but i didnt want to miss the opportunity...so when it was my turn i said to him "i just want to let you know that 'burnin up' is totally my summer anthem"...he said thanks...then we snapped the picture...and then i continued on and said "i mean really, how can you not fist pump at the jersey shore to it???"...he laughed and said thats so funny!!!...so yay! even though nick was sick i still got him to laugh twice!! (for those of you who havent heard the song... check it out here ...perfect fist pumping song...right?!?)

so overall i had such an awesome time!!!...the fact that i was able to form complete sentences while talking to the freaking backstreet boys is HUGE for me...i am so proud of myself...i mean if i can talk to them then i can talk to anyone!!! (clark kent here i come...haha!!!)

for those of you who took the time to read all this...thanks!...i hope you enjoyed the story of my latest backstreet adventure!!

ps ~ as soon as the pictures are posted on the website i will put mine and little sis' on here!
