AB and AC in MD
Hey hey hey…I apologize for the hiatus
again…I don’t know whats wrong with me…I get on a roll and then I fall off
again…im so sorry about that…*bows head in shame*…I promise im going to make a
greater effort going forward!!...anyway…today I want to talk about the trip I
took down to Annapolis
in the beginning of march to visit tv girl and the captain…AND go to the alexis
babini and aaron carter concet!!!
Friday night (march 8) after a long day
at work I hopped in the cadi with little sis, little one and video girl…it was
about a 4 hour drive but went by pretty quickly cause we kept busy chatting
about all kinds of stuff (read as backstreet boys, big time rush and aaron
carter…haha!!) …I guess we got there just after midnight…I don’t really remember
the exact time but it was late!...haha!...tv girl was up waiting for
us…yay!!!...but the captain was sleeping…boo!!...haha!!...it was the first time
I was at their place…it was super cute!...i loved all the pictures they had
framed all over…they really are just the cutest couple ever!!!...anyway…after
some more chatting (I really do have a talking problem…I don’t know when to
stop!!...haha!) we eventually went to sleep…
Saturday morning we all went out to
breakfast!...i LOVE breakfast!!...haha!...then we went to cvs to print some
pictures…we decided that we wanted to get the pictures we have with alexis
babini signed!...i wish we came up with this plan earlier because I already had
them printed and hanging on my wall…I just would have brought those with me…but
its okay…now I have another copy (its hanging on my refrigerator!)…
printing these pictures took WAY longer
than we thought it would…so long that we were almost late to the show!...oh by
the way the concert was in the afternoon…I want to say that it started at 1 or
something like that…we got there, I purchased an alexis babini “shut up and
kiss me” tshirt (best tshirt EVER!!), then I pretty much ran to my seat…I got
there just as the set was starting…phew!...that was a close call!...i would
have been devastated if I missed babini!!!
i’ve said it before and I will say it
again…alexis is just too freaking cute up on the stage with the guitar and the
harmonica and the voice of an angel!!...i can never get enough of this guy…he
is so charismatic and so talented!!…love love LOVE him!!...this is the first
time I saw him live since his new album came out (“The Pioneer Spirit”…go buy
it NOW!!) so I was excited to see his new stuff…omg…”shut up and kiss me”…I
cant even…I was a fan of the song before but now…WOW!...so good!!...and he sang
“hakuna mattata” (did I spell that right? Probably not!)…how amazing is
that?!...AND “smoke” which is my personal fav live song of his…the “still be
standing!!!” part is the best…we all yelled it out when he was explaining the
sing along to everyone…he seemed excited that we knew it…haha!!...he sang a
bunch of other songs too…they were all flawless!...and he had his friend down
town Kenny brown on stage with him playing that box thing…sorry I don’t know
what its called but its like an acoustic drum I guess…I don’t know…it just
looks like a box to me…but its still super cool…I want to learn how to play the
box!…haha!...but yeah, it was just overall a great set!!...i was smiling and
singing along the whole time…I didn’t want it to end!!...but it did…boo!!!...on
the plus side he was over by the merch booth for a meet and greet right after…yay!!!
We had some time before aaron was gonna
come on so we went to meet alexis…I mean we were almost late because we were
printing pictures for this very moment…of course we had to go!!...there was
already a line formed when we got there so we waited patiently…when it was
finally our turn we showed him our pictures and asked him to sign them…let me
tell ya…this guy has some memory…we had pictures from 2 different times and he
knew exactly where they where taken…I was impressed!!...it was great chatting
with him and taking pics and stuff…hes always so nice!!...and he seemed to
remember us but he could have just been saying that to be nice…im not sure…either
way it was exciting!!

Next up was time for aaron
carter!!...remember last year when I said I was not impressed…well he stepped
up his game in a big way…last time i think i was so dissapointed because i knew he could do better...and this tour proves that...this time the show was GREAT!!...he sang a whole bunch
of his old songs…they were all soo much fun…he opened with “another earthquake”
which is one of my faves!!...he had two dancers who are incredible!!...and
aaron himself is quite the talented dancer…I have to say that I was thoroughly
entertained!!...nice job mr carter!!...and a highlight of the show was when little one was picked for the serenade!!...yay!!!
after the show it was time for the meet and greet with aaron!!...he was super nice just like the previous times i've met him...when i walked up to him he told me that i looked familiar...so i told him that i was little sis' sister...haha!!...we took a picture and then i was on my way...but on may way off the stage the girls taking the picture said to me that they like my necklace (my choose 180 dog tag)...i said thanks...and then they said "we know!!!"...haha!!...i thought that was great because only rushers know what it is...and that was that for the concert...oh wait!,,,i got a picture with the cute dancers too!!...haha!!
when all of our meet and greet fun was over we went to lunch with the whole gang...that was a lot of fun...i always love hanging out with all my backstreet girls and tv girl and the captain came to meet us too...it was at this point that the captain called me out for neglecting my blog...sorry again!!!...after lunch some of the girls went home and the rest of us walked around Annapolis a bit...it a really nice city...ill have to go back for a visit when the weather is a little nicer!!
i feel like this post is getting a little long so i guess ill stop here...but the whole weekend really was soo much fun!!!

Top 12 of '12
Thats right folks...its time for my annual countdown of awesomeness for the year...lets get right to it!!
12. Washington DC
Back in june i took a trip down to dc for a mini cruise reunion...we had a blast...we went to a bunch of different museums...acted like small children...ate a ton of mexican food...sang karaoke...and stayed up entirely too late chatting and watching bsb videos...i had so much fun with my girls..my only complaint is that our time together was too short...i really wish we all lived closer...
11. Slip n Slide
The summer of 2012 was #NoShoreSummer...without going to the shore i had to find other things to occupy my weekends...most of the time i found myself tanning in my backyard or at an awesome concert (more on that later) but some nights i wound up at the home of tjd and blla...one of those nights unexpectedly ended with me playing slip n slide at 2am with little sis, the mayor and blla...sooo much fun...i havent done that in years...we had a lot of laughs that night...i probably wont forget it anytime soon!
10. Alexis Babini
Way back in the very begining of 2012 i went to an aaron carter concert and was introduced to the amazing music of alexis babini!!...i thought he had a really great stage presence and he was so cute up there playing his guitar (and harmonica) and his voice was just so so good...in the middle of one of the songs he whispered into the mic "dramatic pause"...it was at that point that i was sold...i went to meet him at intermission...he was so nice...i had to buy his cd...i started listening to it on repeat...i saw him a couple more times since then and he has never dissapointed...according to twitter his first full length album is coming out this year...i am so excited for it...so guys if you never heard his music before go to youtube and check it out...or just buy it on itunes...its sooo good!
9. BSB Takes New York
first bsb event with kev back...what elese is there to say really?!...nothing...okay so i lied there's tons to say...so much so that i wrote not one but 2 entries all about it...which you can check out here and here...haha!!...i gotta say that it was def an interesting experience staying in central park all night...i had a lot of fun with all of my friends
8. Disneyland
at the end of september i went with little sis and a couple of our friends to california for the weekend...we were supossed to go to a big time rush concert but it was cxl'd...we didnt let this get us down...so we decided to go to disneyland...we managed to squeeeze all kinds of disney fun onto just one day...and i gotta say that i still laugh about the ferris wheel of death!...haha!!!...the four of us had so much fun...and how could we not?...we were at disney!!! =)
7. Turks and Caicos
in october i took a much needed trip to turks and caicos with little sis and the mayor...The hotel was great...it was huge!...there were 4 pools...and a gorgous beach with the softest sand ever...and a ton of places to eat all of them were delish...the rooms were nice...it looked like the room we had was recently renovated which was great...the only problem with the room was we were all the way at the very end...we were in the furthest possible room...but ya know what? It was okay because we ate sooo much that we needed that little bit of extra walking!...haha!...i think the best part was when i volunteered to be in the show...i was a spice girl!!...it was so much fun...i even had fans the next day!!
6. New Year's Eve
this is on here not just for nye itself but for the whole weekend...i spent a ton of time with my backstreet girls...we went into manhattan on saturday...down to atlantic city on sunday...and over to the sands in PA on monday...we saw aaron carter in the fantastics and not one but two backstreet concerts...i couldnt think of a better way to ring in 2013 (the year of the backstreet) than with the backstreet boys and my backstreet girls!...i plan on writing a full recap of this weekend soon!
5. TV Girl and The Captain Say I Do
my cousin got married back in june...it truely was a beautiful wedding...they got married in the church we grew up in...i faced my fears and did a reading...it really meant a lot to me that they wanted me to be a part of their special day...thanks guys!...and the reception was soooo much fun!...i didnt stop moving all night!!...theres never a dull moment when the family is all together and its even better when we are together for such an awesome occasion!!
4. Big Time Summer Tour
as if my backstreet boys problem wasnt enough...this year i became dangerously obsessed with big time rush!!!...i think those four boys may just be the death of me...haha!...anyway, lets talk about btst because thats whats on the list...haha!!...i went to the show 6 times...4 of which i had vip for...jones beach...hershey park...bristow va...toronto...vancouver...seattle...every time i saw this show it was better than the last...those boys have sooo much energy on stage...i always find myself jumping around like a wild animal the whole concert...and their vip is amazing...like i said i did that 4 times...each time i hugged some one different so by the end i got to squeeeeeeeze all of them...yay!!!...not only were all the concerts and meet and greets amazing but all the great times i spent with my friends at these concerts is what lands it so high on my list!!
3. Geneva
right before my 27th birthday i took a trip to geneva!! ...i couldnt have asked for a better time...i got to go to europe...and spend quanlity time with my girls....and pay $60 for grilled cheese...and see an nkotbsb concert...and do platinum vip...and so much more...this particular bsb event makes it all the way to number 3 on my list because of the amazing interactions we had with the backstreet boys during sound check...we talked to howie for a long time about jersey...and nick totally called me out on my side commentary...and brian was wearing the pink sneakers...and aj gave the tour and answered a ton of our questions...everything about it was perfect!!
2. Boy Band Bonanza
5 boy bands...4 decades...3 days...2 states...1 non-stop party!!!...do i really need to say more?!?...haha!!...i already recapped this event in full detail...so if you want to relive all the magic please do so by reading day one, day two, and day three...i struggled with the placement of this event...i couldnt decide which should be placed higher on the list...this or geneva...i thought about it long and hard...but there are 2 reasons why i ultimately put this at number 2...a) i saw bsb and btr on the same day...i dont think that will ever happen again...b) I FINALLY GOT HUGS FROM THE BACKSTREET BOYS!!!!!
1. Big Time Skype Call
will everyone please pick your jaws up off the ground please...i know i know...im sure you are all shocked that btr is in my top spot and not bsb...im a little shocked myself...haha!!...but this was such a unique once in a life time opportunity that i was blessed enough to have...how could i not put BIG TIME SKYPE CALL in the top spot?!...the call was 6 months ago and its still something that i think about and say wow! i cant believe that happened!...i got to have an actual conversation with them and they seemed to genuinely care about what i had to say...and now i have a big dopey grin on my face just thinking about it...ahhh!!...yeah, i have no more words to describe how AMAZING that experience was!!!...(ps since i dont really have a picture of this ill just include the one i got with kendall in october!)
well guys...thats it...thats my top 12 moments of 2012...i really did have a lot of fun this year...i cant wait to see what 2013 has in store for me!!...yay!!! =)

winter concerts
as i mentioned before the past few months have been jam packed with concerts...i was going to write a separate post for all of them but i feel like that will set me back again...i dont want to constantly be catching up...ya know?!...so im just gonna write something quick about each of them...here we go...
aaron carter
january 19
new york city
this concert was...interesting...haha!...while im not a super fan of aaron carter, i always did like his music...a lot of his old songs are so much fun!...i was expecting him to sing a few of those...he only sang one...ugh!...that was kinda disappointing...so i wasnt super impressed with his show...i would say it was okay...but lets not throw away the entire evening...i really did have a ton of fun at this concert...i gave me a change to catch up with one of my backstreet girls...and we discovered the super talented alexis babini!!!!...omg! he is AMAZING!!!!...he opened for aaron...he was so cute up there with his guitar and harmonica...his songs were great and catchy...in the middle of one song he whispered "dramatic pause"...after that i was sold!...haha!...he said that he would be down by the merch booth during intermission so we went down there...he was so nice!...he made it a point to ask everyone their name which i thought was a nice touch...i also purchased his cd...i listened only that for at least a week straight...its soo good!...i recommend all of you to do a quick you tube search for him...i promise you wont be disappointed!!!!
nick carter
february 2
new york city
i wasnt sure how i was going to feel about going to this concert...his sister passed away just a few days before this show and there was a lot of controversy over should he or shouldnt he go on with the show...he decided to continue on with the tour and this was the first show since then...i would be lying if i said it was just a normal concert...there was something really special about being there for that show...and i have never heard nick sound as amazing as he did that night (and you people know that I have heard him sing live lots and lots of times...haha!)...most people would probably say that falling down was the best song of the night but i disagree...i would say "i got you" was the most emotional for me...during the song girls started holding up pink hearts...there were so many of them...at the end of the song you could tell that nick was truly touched...he then changed the last words in the song from "got you" to "thank you"...it gave me chills!

philly
little sis and i drove to this concert with anne marie (check out her you tube page for some awesome videos!)...the 3 of us had a blast on the car ride!!!...seeing nick in philly was a lot more relaxed...the atmosphere in the theater was back to normal...nothing like the feeling in nyc...little sis and i went up to the balcony and had a great veiw...it was much better that standing like a sardine in the crowd on the main level...nick sound great and he looked good...minus the hair...im not really feelin the long hair...oh well...haha!..after the concert we went to wawa and met up with laura!...i wish we got to spend more time with her...overall taking the trip to philly for this show was def a good idea...of course i had tons of fun!!!
alexis babini
february 14
new york city
thats right...it took me less than a month to see babini in concert!!!...i went with anne marie (again...haha!)...the concert was at a tiny bar with a small stage in the corner...we sat at the bar which was at the back of the room and the stage was probably about 10 feet from us...if that!...he sang for the full hour that was allotted for him...he also played guitar piano and harmonica...hes so talented...after his set he came over to us to thank us for coming and chatted for a little bit...he didnt have to do that but he did...needless to say he is def one of my faves....i love me some babini!!!...haha! ;-)
big time rush
february 17
vegas
my first ever btr concert...i had a ball!!!...i decided to get vip for the concert (with a price tag of $195 i thought it was a bargain!)...i couldnt pass it up...those big time rush boys are just so cute, i had to meet them!!!...ill go into more detail about the vip in a future post...for now ill just say they are super sweet and even better looking in person than on tv!...okay so onto the concert...it was a lot of fun...they have a ton of energy...they were all over that stage...they even had a trampoline and fire poles on the stage...their show was a lot of fun...when it comes to concerts that arent backstreet boys, it takes a lot to impress me (bsb could stand there and pick their noses and id love it thats why they arent included...haha!!!...i also tend to compare others to bsb and say things like "hmm, i wonder who did that before"...haha!)...anyway, i gotta say that i was really impressed with btr!...so much so that im going to orlando tomorrow to see them again...haha!...if you get a chance look up "no idea" live on you tube...watching a video doesnt really do it justice but in person it was truly beautiful...my fav of the night!...
well thats it for now...like i said ill be seeing big time rush again shortly...i cant wait for saturday!!!
also, i have a question for all of you...should i go to geneva in may for NKOTBSB?...i saw the show 6 times last summer...but is that enough?!?
