possible new phone

as i have mentioned before my trusty voyager is falling apart...literally!...haha...if im not careful the top part comes right off the hinges...i didnt run out to get a new phone right away because my contract wasnt up yet...well it is now...

im now faced with the dilemma of what phone to get...the problem im having is there is something i dont like about each and every phone currently on the market...and there isnt a single qwerty keyboard out there that is comparable to this one...they all stink!...AND most of the super cool phones that are coming out now are sans qwerty keyboard...they're 100% touch screen...if i dont have a good keyboard how am i gonna keep all of you up to date with whats going on in my life?!?...doesnt verizon know that i only blog from my phone???...haha...

since nothing out there right now is grabbing my attention i may just have to wait a little longer until something comes out that i like...ive been doing some research and found that the droid 2 is coming out later this summer...it comes complete with a full qwerty keyboard...yay!...but im not too crazy about the design of the first droid so how much can this one really change...i feel like all Motorola phones are very boxy...i dont like boxy!...haha...

i also discovered the samsung galaxy s fascinate probably coming out in the fall...this phone is beautiful (based on pictures...haha!)...it has awesome features and a nice design and i have been very happy with samsung phones in the past...the only problem is that there is no qwerty keyboard...=(...how sad...right?...but it does have the new "swipe" technology on it...so when you type you dont have to pickup your fingers you just slide them around...im not really sure if i would like that or not but i think it would def better than having a touch scream without it...now the question is do i wait for the fall to see this phone in person and try out the swipe thing or should i just settle and get one sooner...i dont know...

and then of course there's that pesky iphone that is rumored to be coming to verizon in janurary...do i want that?...no not at all...i have an itouch and i find the keyboard extremely difficult to use...it would be fine for texts but not to write an entire blog entry...

oh and there's the purple blackberry...and we all know how much i love purple!...it had to be a stupid blackberry...why not a purple droid or ally or incredible or anything!...haha!...

well im gonna think about it some more...i dont want to rush into anything...it is a two year commitment after all...i want to make sure i really like what i get...i dont want to hate my phone...i want to love my phone...<3

so what do you guys think?...any recommendations???

since we last chatted bff backed out of going to my friends wedding with me AFTER i told her i would be bringing a plus one...great here we go all over again...*big ol eye roll*...haha!

so i circled back and re asked everyone from the original list (except plus one...i had to move fast and i dont have his number)...BLLA still didnt know about work...and stupid concert guy (thats right i called him stupid...haha!) didnt reply to me yet again...ugh...so annoying!...i think after this crush over...its painfully obvious that he has no interest in me...before i could pretend that he didnt get it or something like that...but ignoring 2 is sending a pretty clear message...dont you think?...oh well...what am i gonna do about it?...nothing...

anyway back to the wedding...i worked things out today and confirmed my brand new plus one...i know you are all sitting on the edge of your seats waiting to find out who it is...haha!...well here goes...its my girl k dubbs!!!...yay!!!...i am going to have a way better time with her than i would if i brought any of those other bozos...

i am so happy that i can put all this drama behind me...it was seriously stressing me out...there was no need for that...im better now... =)

grr...no response

last week i told you all about how i invited concert guy to my friend's wedding...well i hate to be the bearer of bad news but over a week later and still no response...ugh!...i am fully aware that this means that he has absolutely zero interest in me what so ever...but to make myself feel better im going to pretend that he just didnt see it...cause if he did see it he would have said "of course! i would love to go with you!"...and then we would fall madly in love and live happily ever after!!!...haha!!!...oh the imagination i have...why cant it be that easy???...anyway back to reality...i had to accept that fact that he's not gonna come with me...so i moved on...

next on my list was plus one...i thought he would go with me fo sho...memorial day weekend he was going on and on about the fact that hes never been to a wedding and he wants to go to one and all kinds of nonsense...i thought i would be making his dreams come true earlier than expected...so i sent him a facebook message...again no response!...wtf!!!...is it so hard to write a simple no?...or im busy that day? or something! anything!...i just had to move on again...

next i asked the brian littrell look alike (BLLA for short) i met this past weekend...he's my cousin's big brother in their frat...he's now living at my cousins' house while he saves money to get an apt...this time i actually got an answer...it was a temporary answer...but an answer none the less!...he said he would def go if he doesnt have work...the problem was that he wasnt going to find out about work until it was too late...so another one down...oh boy any one else getting exhausted?!...haha...

finally i said that it "bff you are coming with me"...the only reason i didnt really want to have to ask him was it might be a little weird...since ya know...he is little sister's bofo after all...but whatever who cares? hes my bff so nbd!...right?!?...haha!

so there you have it folks...after all the drama i end up with bff as my plus one for this wedding...haha...wish me luck!

plus one

no this is not a blog about the mayors bff who i named plus one on here...so when i say plus one im talking about the whole notion of a plus one...not the person plus one who i have lined up as my plus one for the princesses wedding...

last year one of my good friends from high school got engaged...of course i was super excited for her...but at the same time i immediately thought "oh god who am i gonna bring to this wedding"...in my dreams i obviously wanted new guy to go with me...haha...and then he moved (and i cant talk to him anyway) so that idea was out...then i thought well maybe concert guy (at that point i didnt even officially meet him yet)...so i was thinking thats probably a no go...haha...

so i began to think that it was just gonna be another wedding for me to attend solo...ugh...i really dont mind going by myself...i just dont want to be the only loser there alone...ya know...but then it all changed when i actually became friends with concert guy...i figured i could def invite him!...i was all set...no more stressing over who to ask...

then the invite came...and it was addressed to ashley...no guest...ugh all that worrying over nothing...i wasnt invited with a guest...so again i had to come to terms with going by myself...but at least this time i figured i wouldn't be the only one alone...

now the wedding is only a few weeks away and my friend called me today to tell me a lot family they thought were coming arent...so she said if i want to bring someone with me i can...oh boy here we go again...haha...i went right back to my plan of asking concert guy to go with me...so this afternoon i sent him a text (im much better with writing than speaking,..haha)...i said "hey...do you wanna be my plus one for my friend's wedding?"...omg i was so nervous sending that simple little text...and the worst part of it is he hasnt responded yet...ahhh...lol...so i guess i should take this as a bad sign...but im not...im going to pretend that its a good sign...haha...

so what do you think it means?...oh no, did i just make things awkward between us?...i hope not!...thats all i really have to say without turning crazy so im gonna go but i will def keep you posted on any response that may or may not come it...

guess whos back!....new guy!!!....eeeekkkkk!!!!

for those of you who dont remember new guy lets quickly recap...hes the super hottie lifeguard from last summer i was totally curshin on...oh yeah and i totally made a complete fool out of myself every time he was around...i lost all ability to function as a human being...simple things like saying "hi, i'm ashley" just seemed impossible...but no big deal...haha!...after last summer new guy moved to hawaii and slowly but surely i forgot all about him (thanks in part to concert guy! <3)...does any of this ring a bell???...

well the switch was flipped back on last weekend when f.u.n. informed me that new guy is gonna be at the compound on friday night!...aaahhhhh!!!...i dont know if i should be super excited (hey maybe i will be able to have an actual conversation this time) or if i should be super embarrassed and run for the hills...haha...im just afraid that the mistakes i made last summer will happen again...while im aware that there is def no future relationship there i still dont want him to think im a rataard...cause im not! (okay in front of him i am...haha)...

its been a whole year since i last saw new guy and i am def the same person but at the same time i think i have changed ever so slightly...and hopefully that slight change will be enough for me to be able to have a regular conversation with new guy...i think that the fact that im not really crushin on him anymore will help a lot...well i am but im not...ya know?...lets put it this way...im totally team concert guy now but if an opportunity came up with new guy i def wouldnt turn it down...haha...speaking of concert guy, i've been able to talk to him like a normal person all year...it should be the same with new guy...right?...

i have to try not to think about it too much...there isnt even a guarantee that he will be there friday night...so why am i worried?...this is so dumb...haha!...

memory like a vault

i am def one of those people who remembers everything...well maybe not everything but i remember A LOT!...lol...i can remember every one's birthday...i remember dances i did when i was in 8th grade...i remember all kinds of things...so sometimes i say i have a memory like a vault...it goes in and never comes out...there arent to many people who remember as many things as i do...just found out that concert guy is one of those people...

thats right its the return of concert guy...i know i havent mentioned him in a while...but there hasnt been much to say about him lately cause we havent hung out outside of the train since the whole situation with crazy wet hair girl...

as you know last weekend was backstreet weekend...saw them in ac on saturday night...in monmouth on sunday night...and at mohegan sun on tuesday night...since mohegan is a little more than 3 hours from me i took off work on tuesday...and then we got home super late that night so i called in sick on wednesday...when i finally woke up at noon i saw that i missed a text from concert guy...it said "arti wants to know where you are, shes worried you didnt make it back from ct"...

lets examine this shall we...first of all im going to pretend that arti is code for concert guy...so it was really him who wanted to know where i was...not arti...haha...and second of all i dont remember telling that i was going to ct on tuesday...when i saw him last monday i told him about the other 2 concerts that i already went to but i didnt say anything about tuesdays show...cause i remember when i got on the train i thought to myself "oh i should have told him that i wont be here tomorrow"...but i do remember telling him a long time ago about the 3 shows...maybe i said something about them all being right by each other...did he remember from back then?...how is that possible?...or did i say something monday and completely forget about it?...maybe in all the excitment i said im going again tomorrow...but i dont think so...but i must have cause how did he know?!?...oh boy and im the one who claims to have a good memory...haha!...

well either way i know i didnt go on and on about it to him like i do with everyone else...so im going to take the fact that he knew where i was (even though i dont remember telling him) as a sign that he actually pays attention when i talk to him...and it could be just one more sign telling me that im not crazy and he WAS in fact flirting with me all those times ive mentioned before...haha...doubt it!...haha...but ill just pretend that it means way more than it really does just so i can feel good about myself!...haha!...

who do i think i am?

last week i purchased a brand new car!!! yay!!! its a 2010 cadillac srx crossover...its white with tan and brown interior...and shes beautiful!!! i still cant believe i bought a cadi...it hasnt sunk in yet that its acually mine...if you asked my last year what my next car would be cadillac wouldnt even have crossed my mind...even 2 months ago i wouldnt have said that...

it all started when i went to disney for my birthday...as you may or may not know test track at epcot is sponsored by gm...so when you get off the ride they have a giant display room where they have all the latest and future models of gm cars...i saw the srx and fell in love (why cant it be that easy with guys???...haha)...i sat in the drivers seat and that was it...i knew at that moment that it was the car i needed to have...once i made up my mind that was it...

two weekends ago i began my search...we headed over to crown cadillac on rt 22 "just to look"...we met andy there (who is the best salesman ever!)...he showed us the ins and outs of the car and i took one out for a test drive and my love for the car grew...at that point i knew looking elsewhere for a new car would just be silly...i signed the papers that day!!!...of course they didnt have the model i wanted so i didnt actually get the car until thurday but it was totally worth the wait...

last weekend i drove it all over the place...i love the sunroof...i love the xm radio...i love the ipod hookup...i love the bluetooth...i love the heated seats (okay so i havent used these yet but i know ill love then in the winter)...i love the miles to empty...i love the automatic start...i love the push button start/stop...i love the new car smell...i love the color...i love that i figured out where the digital clock is...i love how easy it is to adjust my seat...i love the leather dashboard...i love all the hidden compartments...i love that i can set the height for the trunk...i love the cool limo lighting at night...i love the bright headlights...i love it all!!!

i would highly recommend the srx to everyone it is amazing!...and for anyone whos in the market for a new cadi go to crown cadillac and ask for andy!...he is freakin awesome!!!...i think part of the reason i love the car so much is because he was so excited showing me all the features...he seemed to genuinly care about me and my car...so thanks for everything andy!!!

let the summer fun begin!!!

how is it possible that its june one already?!?...thats crazy talk right...is this year flying by as fast for everyone else as it is for me???

memorial day was yesterday and you know what that means!...ITS SUMMER!!!...yay!!!!...this summer is going to be a good one i can tell already...i have a lot on my agenda...and im going to make the most of every second!...it all kicked off with the awesome memorial day picnic at the compound thrown by bubbles and f.u.n!

before i get into details of the picnic i want to give a shout out to dead sexy!!!...hes upset that i havent mentioned him yet...i dont like to disappoint my readers so heeyyyy! what up dead sexy!....in case youre wondering who this guy is ill fill you in right now...dead sexy is big brother's bff...and he is probably one of the funniest people i have ever met...if you ever come across this guy in your life please ask him to show you some of the yoga moves from his p90x dvd...haha...i almost peed my pants when he showed me!...haha!!!...

okay back to the picnic...there were tons of people there...and tons of delicious food...i def ate WAY too much...i played mario kart wii with squish and his bff (who happens to be the son of dead sexy)...i watched some intense wiffle ball games...i decided that doug is a professional Frisbee player...i found a date to the princesses wedding...lets call him plus one...haha...he happens to be the mayor's bff...(wow there are a lot of bff's in this entry...haha)...i got burnt (not nearly as bad as plus one...the poor kid)...i slept on a couch...i stayed out of all drama...i had an AMAZING day!!!

sittin in my spot

greetings from the jersey shore!!! its memorial day weekend and the summer has officially begun!...yay!!!...i think my slogan for this summer is gonna be "summer of ten, bring on the men!"...haha!

well anyway im reporting to you live from my favorite spot down here...if you know me and you know the compound then you totally know where my spot is...in the corner of the deck looking out at the bay...love it!...but only at night...during the day its just an ordinary spot but at night its magical!...on clear nights i like to look at the stars...i see a lot of shooting stars and always make a wish...i would tell you what my wishes are but then they wont come true so mum is the word!...haha!...i also like to look out into the bay...and listen to the water...its very peaceful out here!...

i do some of my best thinking out here in my spot...i think about all kinds of things out here...im not gonna lie most of it is about boys...haha...i imagine all kinds of things...this is the best spot to escape reality for a little bit and live in a fantasy world...(and ps i always have a bofo in my fantasy world...haha!)...

well i must go now because other people are invading my spot...so i guess i will be social and talk to them!...until next time happy blogging!

email group!

when i first started working almost 3 years ago (wow has it been that long already?!?) i was in email group with the fam...not everyone in the fam...just a select few...haha!...it was a good way to keep in touch with everyone...and hear all the side commentary we all had on just about everything...email group was pretty awesome...until one day i got in trouble at work for sending too many personal emails...apparently when you send 1 email to 10 people it counts as 10 emails...ugh...that was not a good day for me...sadly i had to quit email group right away...

while email group was alive and kickin we were pretty serious about it...big brother drafted up an official list of email group rules...it was almost like fight club...they were rules to live by if you were in email group!...yeah, we were that awesome...haha!

i bring all this up today because i was looking through old files on my computer and i found the rules list!...it made me laugh and remember the good ol' days of email group...i know you are all dying to read them so without further ado here are the official rules of email group!!!

1) you dont talk about email group
2) you dont talk about email group
3) when someone says stop, let it go, or enough...you STOP
4) if you plan on adding a new person to email group you must have written consent of the other members. (see below approved list)
5) you cannot and Will not speak to anyone not on the email group about any subject discussed on the email group. MAJOR INFRACTION YOU WILL JUST BE REMOVED AND NEVER SPOKEN TO AGAIN
6) if someone asks to be removed because they are busy everyone must comply. (Rule does not apply to bubbles at this moment...we will revise WHEN SHE GETS A JOB!)
7) if it is your 1st week on email group you must be the first email every work day for that first week
