BSB Cruise 2010 (day two)

heeyyy!!! whats up bloggers?!? im back and its time to talk about day 2 of the fabulous backstreet boys cruise!!! sorry its taking me soo long...

key west:

the ship was docked in key west from early in the morning until about 2 i think...little sis and i didnt wake up too early so after we got ready and ate breakfast and all that jazz it was already after 11...we got off the boat and had to take a trolley into town...we didnt do much there except stroll around and take a few pictures...oh and we got a super cut ornament for our christmas tree!!!...the guy must have seen our wristbands and said i can put "backstreet boys cruise 2010" and your names on the ship...so i said "omg! really?! i must have it!!!"...haha!!!....you know its gonna be front and center on the tree this year thats for sure!!!...so after we made the purchase we headed back to the ship...

this is us Q&A:

i really enjoyed this...it was just 2+ hours of the boys answering our questions...they gave a lot of good answers...nothing juicy or gossipy (which would have been awesome) but all genuine!...lets see i dont remember all the questions but ill share some highlights...

capitan's dinner:

when we got to the dinning room we were sat at a 6 person table...2 of the people didnt speak english so we didnt talk to them...but we did start chatting with the lovely married couple from alabama (gabby and charles) at the table...obviously we talked about bsb...somehow it came up that we saw howie at charlotte airport last year (which you can read about here)...so gabby said was it after gravediggers ball? we went to that!..so i said yeah it was...so she said we were standing in the front to the right...i said no way! we were standing the the front to the right...they said we were standing next to a girl with pig tails and a flannel shirt...i said i was wearing pig tails and a flannel shirt!!!!...they said no, it couldnt have been you, this girl went to london to see bsb...i said yeah! that was me!!!....so how crazy is that??? they are from alabama and we are from jersey...we randomly met in north carolina...and then were randomly sat with each other at dinner in the middle of the ocean!...crazy! right?!?...


masquerade night:
this was a fun night...everyone had beautiful masks...i liked my mask and the design i painted on it but i wish i added feathers and stuff and cut the eye holes bigger...it was hard to see out of so i had to take it off...oh well its too late now...anyway back to the party!!!...they played a lot of bsb songs...and nick played some of his new songs...which i LOVE...they are way different from the songs on his first album but they are soo good!!!...AND the highlight of the night was when they played a sample of the NEW nkotBSB song...LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!...i cant wait for it to be all over the radio...its gonna be huge!!!...

after the party we went back to our room...turned on channel 36...and went to sleep

BSB Cruise 2010 (day one)

so lets start off by saying AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! did the cruise really just happen?!?...im still in a little bit of shock...haha!...okay so now that that's out of the way lets get down to business....

i was lucky enough to be a part of bsbcruise2010...and it was AMAZING!!!...a lot happened over the course of the trip and i want to share all the highs and lows and everything in between without missing any details...so i decided it would be best to break it up a little...=)

embarkation:

little sis and i arrived in miami on wednesday night to guarantee that there would be no problems with flights on thursday morning...if i missed the boat im not really sure what would have happened but i know i would have been devastated...

we got to the port around 11:30 or so on thursday morning...checked in and got on the boat...since we couldnt go to our room until 1:30, we had some time to kill...so just like everyone else we went over to the buffet with all of our carry ons...we settled down at a table...i looked over to the left and there was AJ sitting 2 tables away from us!!!....(eeekkk!!!)...then i got up to grab something to eat...as i was walking towards the buffet line HOWIE walked right by me!....(eeekkk!!!)...after i got my food i headed back to the table and saw BRIAN eating lunch with his family...(more squealing!! haha!!)...so within about 20 minutes i already saw 3 of the 4 backstreet boys just strollin around...and from that moment i knew that it was going to be a great trip!!!...

door dec:

at 1:30 little sis and i were finally able to get to our room and start working on decorating our door...it took a few hours to get it 100% completed but it was worth every minute and it came out sooo good!!! (for now ill put up the pic i took on my phone but hopefully i can put one from my camera)...please stay tuned for the results...ill post them on day 3...

everybody feud:

this was the first official event held in the theater...we had assigned seats for everything in the theater...too bad our seats were in the very last row all the way at the top...ugh...oh well at least we were there!...

this game show was just like family feud...which happens to be my favorite game show ever!...and its totally one of my goals in life to be a contestant...haha!...so i was super excited to see how it would turn out...of course i wanted to participate and say things like "good answer! good answer!" but was i so lucky? of course not...i was not one of the "randomly" selected backstreet girls...which btw none of them were very entertaining...i would have been way better up there...but whatever...

the game proceeded to be just like the real family fued only way better!...the people surveyed were the fans on the boat...and all the question had to do with the backstreet boys...NICK had no idea how to pay...BRIAN was play fighting with the other team...HOWIE couldnt believe that the fans thought he wore speedos...and AJ loved that the fans thought he would be a porn star if he wasnt a backstreet boy...in the end the backstreet girls won and got a tote bag filled with signed stuff...

she's a dream dating game:

just like the real dating game complete with cheesy 70's backdrop...for each guy 3 girls were "randomly" selected...we found out that if you won, not only would you have the satisfaction of winning but you would also get to go up on stage durring sunday's concert...how cool is that?!?...

AJ was up first...one of the questions was do your best bsb choreo...the second girl did everybody...but the other 2 girls just danced...this is the moment i wished i was up there the most because i would have done larger than life...everything from the stomp clapping part...to the robot part...to the chorus everyone knows...the crowd would have gone wild and i def would have won...haha!!!...i dont remember the other questions but in the end girl number 3 won!

next came BRIAN...it was during this time that litte sis and i decided that not only does b.l.l.a look like brian but they act the same too...everything from what they say to how they say it to how they walk to their mannerisms to everything in between...they could be twins...we couldnt believe it!!!...anyway back to the game...one of the questions brian was given to ask was whats your fav position...he was dying...so embarrassed...and i understand completely...haha!...the first girl was embarrassed too...the second girl had no shame...but the third girl got clever and said that the quarterback is he favorite position on a football team...and that answer is what scored her the win...good job girl number 3!!! (just for the record i immediately thought of ballet positions and thought well i kinda like 4th the best...haha!!!)


my main squeeze HOWIE was 3rd...what i remember most about howie's turn is that brian came back out and was semi acting as host...it was funny!!...one of the questions howie asked was which bsb song best describes you and why...girl number 3 said spanish eyes...im pretty sure thats the answer that pushed her over the top for the win...

last but not least was NICK...brian made his way back onto the stage for this one too...but this time he sat down next to girl number 3 giving her answers to nicks questions...one of the questions was "if you were an alien who would you abduct and why? but you can say any of the backstreet boys"...i dont remember what the girls said but i know my answer: the male cast of the vampire diaries...everyone not just damon and stephan but i want tyler and matt and jeremy and alaric and uncle mason and even uncle john...if you watch the show or not you have to admit that those boys are hott!!...well im not here to talk about tvd im here to talk about bsb so back to the game...making it a clean sweep, nick picked girl number 3...lol... = )

international luv deck party:

USA! USA! USA!...it was clear that the boys are popular all over the world...there were girls from japan, Australia, Brazil, Netherlands, England, Ireland, Argentina, Portugal, Canada, USA, and many more!!!...i loved seeing everyone's native costumes...the boys were festive too...AJ wore a kilt...NICK wore some sort of Japanese jacket...HOWIE represented puerto rico...and BRIAN wore an uncle same costume and his wife had a matching girl version of it...they looked amazing...brian and leighanne Had the BEST costumes of the night!!!...the boys were up on the higher deck on a stage type thing...they were awesome...AJ was an excellent host and revealed his new found love of "friends"...ummm i love friends!!!...haha...he went on to poll the crowd on which friend we thought they were...aj = joey...brian = chandler...howie = ross...and nick = phoebe...haha...when aj told nick about this he had no idea who phoebe was...so once again nick was clueless on simple pop culture reference...oh boy...lets see what else happened...they tried to come into the crowd but that didnt really work out too well...they were def mobbed...i wish some girls would just relax and realize if you dont mob them they will come out in the crowd and hang out...but if you do mob them, they are more like to run and hide when your screaming their name alright (i just had to say it...haha...sorry)

its a good time to be a fan!

this weekend was an exciting one...and anyone who is a harry potter/jets/backstreet boys fan like myself will tell you the same thing...i know none of these has anything to do with the other but it was a great weekend for all 3!...

lets start off with harry potter (*said in brittish accent*)...friday was the official opening day of harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1...(or hp7a as i like to call it...haha!)...obvi i went to see it friday...i would have gone thursday at midnight but unfortunately someone has to be responsible and go to work...so that option was out...instead i went with cool girl after work...oh.my.god...sooo freakin good!!!...i loved it so much that i saw it again on saturday night!!!....i dont really want to say to much in case you havent seen it yet...but trust me when i say this is a DO NOT MISS!!!!...the only complaint that i have is that it ended...haha!...it was 2.5 hours but i didnt think it felt that long...and then it cuts you off right when the story is going to get really good!...i know this because i read the books...*gasp* i know! i read the books? how could that be???...haha!!!...anyway i cant wait until hp7b comes out...its going to be amazing!!! =)

sunday afternoon i went to the jets game...J! E! T! S! JETS! JETS! JETS! WOOOOO!!!!!! they played the Houston texans...and wow! what a game!...they had a huge lead going into the 4th quarter and then in typical jet fashion they blew it and Houston went up...the only way we could win was with a touchdown...too bad there was less than 2 minutes left...not impossible but it was improbable...so in typical jet fan fashion the stadium emptied out...less than half the fans were still there...of course i stayed...my grandfather taught me never to leave a game early cause you never know what could happen...and boy was i glad that i stayed!!!...sanchez threw a bomb down the field to a wide open edwards...everyone went wild!!! it was another jets FIRST DOWN!!!...so then there was 16 seconds left, 1st and goal, with the ball on the 6...sanchez threw another great pass to santonio holmes right into the end zone....TOUCHDOWN JETS!!!! i thought the people went wild before...no i was wrong...this is when they went really wild!!! ahhhh!!! im not even sure i can express in words the level of excitement going on in that stadium and that moment...it was just crazy!!!

now the jets are 8 and 2...can you believe it?? 8 and 2???...its been a LONG time since the jets have had a season like this one...there arent any that i can remember clearly...its just a really fun time to be a loyal jets fan...if you stick with them long enough they are bound to surprise everyone with an awesome season!!!...im so proud of them!!!

as if that game wasnt enough excitement for one person to handle i came home to watch the american music awards...my backstreet boys closed the show with new kids on the block...hands down the BEST performance of the night!!!...if you didnt see it go to YouTube right now and watch it!!!...the who thing was perfect...i loved everything...from the opening mash up of everybody and hangin tough...to the old school clips in the background during i want it that way...to the proof they were really singing during step by step...to the awesome dance break...to the classic right stuff dance...to "all you people cant you see cant you see n - k - o - t - B - S - B!"...yeah just perfect!!!...i am sooo pumped for the nkotBSB tour next summer...i already have tickets to one show...but im def gonna need more!!!

right now is such a good time to be a backstreet boys fan!!!...so many good things are happening...this tour with the new kids is gonna be so amazing...even my mom said she wants to go!!...i just cant wait for everyone to know what ive always known...backstreet boys are here to stay!!! =)

the official soundtrack of the summer of ten

thats right folks i have created an official soundtrack to the summer of ten!...i know that you are all yelling at the screen saying "but ashley, its practically winter...what are you doing still talking about the summer???"...well the answer to that is a simple one...i am a procrastinator...haha!!!...durring the summer k dubbs and i decided we would create a cd with all of our summer songs on it...so this way we could listen to it and remember the awesome summer we had!!...so every time we came up with a song we would put it on the list...having a list was great...too bad it took me 2 months to put the list onto an actual cd for listening enjoyment...i finally have it and it totally brings back memories from the summer...goal accomplished!...

so without further ado i bring you the track list (along with a little blerb) to the official soundtrack of the summer of ten!!!

1) taio cruz ~> dynamite ~> the first time i heard this song was at my friends wedding in july...k dubbs was with me and she said "how about this sound for our cd?"...i said i never heard it before...next thing i knew it was all over the place...LOVE IT!!!...so i went back to k dubbs and told her its def going on!!!

2) jason derulo ~> in my head~> this song doesnt really have a story we just like it!...haha!

3) backstreet boys~> bigger~>i took k dubbs to her first backstreet concert this summer...so its only natural that a song from their newest album made the list!

4)dj otzi ~> hey baby~> ob1 offered free zumba classes...we went to them on a weekly basis...this was our fav song from class...if you dont know it download it...i promise you'll love it!!!

5)big time rush~> halfway there~> thanks to my litttle bff i became completely obsessed with btr...turns out k dubbs loved them too...haha...so of course they made the cut!

6) diamonds on my neck~> okay so i have no idea who sings this of if thats really what its called...but its one of those fun songs that you blast in the car and have tons of funs with

7) shontelle~> impossible~> no story relating to my adventures with k dubbs but i did dance to this song in my makeshift dance class

10) michael buble~> havent met you yet~> love this song...gives me hope

11) b.o.b ~> airplanes ~>okay so im not crazy about this song but k dubbs likes it AND it has a good story...during the summer i like to sit outside and look at the stars...so i have seen many shooting stars over the years...but people would always say to me "are you sure its a shooting star and not an airplane?"...of course im sure!!!...anyway...this is why i find the chorus of this song to be so awesome

13) selena gomez~> naturally~> this song doesnt really remind me of the summer...it reminds me of the spring...one of the nights i hung out with concert guy and co. we were on our way home...this song came on the radio...we turned it up super loud and everyone sung along...good times!...

14) backstreet boys~> panic~> this song makes the list because of its name...when we were in disney for my bday my little bff said to me on one of the rides "its dark...dont panic ashley"...it was one of the top quotes from the trip and we used it all summer...dont panic!

15) usher~> dj got us fallin in love~> this song wasnt even on the list...i just added it cause i still had space...and i love it!!!...haha!!!

16) miranda~> vamos a la playa~> as you know the world cup we this summer...the mayor was obsessed with spain...so every time they had a game the mayor would play this song to get into the spanish spirit i guess...i really could care less about soccer but the do think that this is a super fun song!!!

17) michael franti ~> say hey (i love you)~> this is just a happy feel good song...makes me smile!

18) 3oh!3 ~> my first kiss~> this song reminds me of kent on sytycd...i think its a fun song...so why not put it on...right?!

19) shots! ~> no idea who sings this...maybe its lmfao...i dont know...but who really cares...if you went to any sort of club or party or somethin this summer im sure you heard it...i dont even take shots and i love this song...it just gets you pumped and ready to go!!!

psych stars on snl...please and thank you

as you probably know last season there was a facebook campaign to get betty white to host snl...and it worked!...since then im pretty sure there have been tons of campaign to get all sorts of people on there...(i havent really followed to closely so i dont know who these people are but im pretty sure theyre out there...lol)...finally one of these campaigns came along for 2 people who actually deserve the hosting gig!...who am i talking about you ask?...why its JAMES RODAY and DULE HILL!!!!!...or better known as shawn spencer and burton guster on psych...

psych is by far one of the funniest shows ever!!!...i always tell people that they need to watch it and they kinda brush me off...but then a few weeks later they'll say to me "you know what show is awesome? PSYCH!"...of course my response is "please...i've know this for years"...haha!...oh so now you wanna know what makes the show so awesome??...there are tons of things...11 point turns..the definition of banana...shawn and gus running away and screaming...pineapple upside down cake made in an easy bake oven...pineapples in general...shawns nick names for gus...gus' little blue car...the mentalist jokes...shawn and jules <3...squirrel assassins...shawns psychic episodes...gus tapping...the super sniffer...lassie...and the list goes on and on...but the number one thing about this show is the relationship between shawn and gus...james and dule are sooo funny together!

which leads me to why i think they would be perfect for snl...i feel like lately snl has been picking big stars to host regardless if they are funny or not...dont get me wrong i love payton manning...hes an awesome quarterback...i wish he was on my fantasy team...but would i have picked him to host snl? no way!...i think if snl were to cast hosts who may not be as huge of stars but bring more to the table (and are actually funny) the show would be way better of...if i knew that the show would def be funny i would def tune in every week regardless of who the host is...does what im saying even make sense???...

i think that james and dule would bring quality back to snl...i can see it now shawn spencer coming face to face with the mentalist...how spectacular would that be?!?...or a spoof of sytycd or american idol (im currently having a flashback to "american duets" haha!)...or anything really because these 2 can make a paper bag funny!!!...

having them host the snl would also create a ton of buzz for psych!...as far as im concerned the more poeple who watch the shenanigans of shawn and gus the better...the world would totally be a happier place!!!...

so in conclusion its really a win win scenario for universal...snl ratings will go up...psych ratings will go up...everyone is happy!!!...so now the big question is how can you help to get these 2 fantabulous actors on snl? its simple...just click on this link and "like" this campaign on facebook...so easy right? right!!!

odds and ends

hello there everyone!...ive been mia for a while and for that i apologize...will you please forgive me? yes, you will? oh excellent!!!...haha!!! so lets see what have i been up to since we last spoke??? (warning: i may be all over the place and/or start rambling so just bare with me...thanks!)

as you all already know, concert guy moved and no longer takes the train...i was doing pretty good with the whole thing...i wasnt really thinking about him too much...so i was convinced that i was completely over it and didnt really miss him and all that jazz...but then the other night i had a dream about him and i made me realize that i do miss him more than i thought...i really wish something more happened there...it could have been great...but it didnt...oh well... =/ ...

it seems like i need someone new to crush on before i could ever really be over the crush on concert guy...one of these days one of my silly crushes is gonna turn into something more that just a silly crush...i really hope that day is sooner rather than later...i am so over being chronically single...it stinks...not fun at all...ya know what? im gonna stop hoping that a boyfriend is just gonna fall out of the sky...how about i start small...how about just a date...i just want to go on a date...would i be a nervous wreck? im sure i will be!...but its okay...this is something that should have happened 10 years ago...im a little behind...so what...i wasnt really ready then...but i am now...so if anyone out there has any advice or help they would like to give me i will take it!!! im serious about this...pretty please with a cherry on top!...

im playing fantasy football this year...its week 5 and my team is currently 2-2...unfortunately it looks like im gonna lose again...ugh...its not that i have a bad team...i have the second highest point total in the league...its just that the person im playing happens to have an awesome week...oh and it doesnt help that this week my star running back arian foster only rushed for 25yards...what is that about?!?...ugh...im gonna have to make some big moves for next week so i can get another win...i NEED another win!!!...

backstreet boys cruise is less than 2 months away!!!...i can not even begin to express how excited i am for this cruise!!!...on friday we got an email with the themes for the deck parties...international luv...masqurade...black & blue...AND they announced the door dec contest...little sis and i are so gonna win!...i have to keep my idea under wraps...but i can promise that its gonna be awesome!!!...now all i have to do is come up with an outfit for each theme and make all of my decorations...so what do you guys think...for international night should i represent good ol u.s. of a. OR represent dirty jersey???...its a tough call!!!...haha!!!...

this weekend i was in providence visiting little sis...little one and bff were there also...friday night they picked me up at the train station and then we were off...there was WAY more traffic than any of us had anticipated...so it took us over 5 hours to get there...it was brutal!!!...yesterday we participated in all sorts of fun fall festivities...we went to a corn maze...picked pumpkins...and went to a jack-o-lantern spectacular...the last thing was soo cool...they had tons of giant pumpkins cared into all sorts of things...it was really exciting...today we didnt do much...just went to lunch and watch some football...got upset while watching football (im looking at you foster!...haha!)...now im on the train going home...little one and bff are still up there...they both have off tomorrow but i do not...so i must go home...so sad right?!...

ive decided that i want to be on dance your a** off...that show was totally made for me and i could def win...but more on that another time...im going to make a full entry about why i want to be on it...

oprah is asking for backstreet fans to write to her in 2000 characters or less saying why you love them and how they have changed your life and things like that...i have no idea what to say!...of course i love bsb...they are my all time fav but i dont have a sob story or anything...i love because i do, they make me happy...its as simple as that...so i feel like there is no way that i could win without any story...so why should i even enter...but at the same time how do i know what shes looking for...if i enter at least i tried and there is the possibility of winning...but if i dont even put an entry in then there is no chance of winning...what the prize is, no one knows...but its oprah we are talking about here so its gotta be good!!!!....

ummm...i cant really thing of anything else to babble about this evening...so im gonna stop here...i guess ill have to find something else to occupy myself with for the remaining hour and a half of this train ride...

my first 10 on tuesday

since im a follower im gonna follow again and start answering 10 on Tuesday...i stole the questions from cait...she got the questions from someone else...and im really not sure if that person made the up of got them from another person...im sure you can follow the questions back to find their origin if you wish...anyway...lets get on with it shall we!

1) Favorite way to travel (plane, train, automobile, etc.)

well i HATE the train and the subway...i love my new car but if i had to go far i would def start to get antsy...so i am going to answer my fav way to travel is by plane!!!...i love love love flying!!!...there is something about being up in the sky with the clouds and looking out the window and seeing miles and miles of land of ocean...when i was real little i use to look for the carebears in the clouds...but now i like to look for things that are a little more real...lol...like my house (which i have yet to spot)...another thing that makes planes so awesome is getting on a plane = going on vacation!!!...and who doesnt love vacation?!?

2) where's your favorite place to that you've been to?

it depends...if there is a ton of traffic and no one is moving then im pretty calm cause what am i gonna do about it...but if there is just one slow car in front of me blocking my way for no reason then i get road rage real fast!!!

of course i have a passport!...ive been to bermuda, mexico, canada, england, st maarten, bahamas, spain, france, dominican republic, and i think thats it...

oh i pack everything!!! this includes my own pillow and towels...haha!...

8) do you take the fastest route or the road less traveled?

most of the time i take the fastest route...but every once in a while i enjoy taking the road less traveled...

9) do any activities on the road? (like road games, reading, sleeping, etc.)

if im driving i like to sing super loud or chat with my passengers...if im a passenger it def depends on the length og the trip...i would typically check my twitter (@ashalia11)...or write in my handy dandy blog...or read a magazine...or play some type of game on my phone or ipod...or i may eeven pull out my Nintendo ds!...

10) use a paper or gps?

paper map all the way baby!!!...i feel like the gps tells you to turn too late...i prefer to get directions and look at a map before i go so i have some sort of idea of where im going instead of relying on the gps to tell me where to go...

crafty to do list

hey kiddies! whats going on?!? nothing much here...same ol stuff different day...ya know...and of course im on the look out for a new boy to talk about constantly but i just havent found him yet...haha!...anyway...

i have a few crafty projects brewing in my head that i want to start working on but im not really sure when i have the time to create them...

first up is a scrapbook...i really want to make a scrapbook with all the pictures from my 25th birthday bash: disney edition...i have all these pictures and theyre just sitting in my computer...i want to do something with them...and just putting them in an album is lame...i want the scrapbook to be just as exciting as the trip was...also ive never made myself a scrapbook...ive only put them together for other people...so i think its about time i put a little bit of hard work into something that i can keep and treasure forever...right? right!...

the other project i need to start working on is my door dec for the backstreet cruise in december...rumor has it that there will be a contest for best door...the winner gets FRONT ROW TICKETS!!!...i need those!...haha!...in high school i totally rocked hall dec so i should be a pro at door dec!...little sis and i are gonna win...i just know it!...i came up with a great theme...and already put together some sketches...im so excited for this...the only problem is if they assign a theme for the contest and it doesnt match the one i already have planned for my door...then i would have to scrap what i have planned and start from scratch...i really dont want to do that...i just hope that the contest is an open theme...fingers crossed...=)

so those are the 2 big projects i have up my sleeve right now...if i ever finish them i will try to provide pictures...

concert guy's last day

unfortunately today was concert guys last day taking the good ol njtransit 713...so sad right?...im def gonna miss him...im also a little jealous that he doesnt have to deal with the stupid train ever again...its really been a nightmare lately...anyway i guess its story time now...haha...

so this morning when i got to the train he confessed his true feelings for me so we're gonna go on lots of dates and fall madly in love and live happily ever after...oh wait...that only happened in my imagination...haha!!!...

in real life nothing nearly as exciting happened...he just said standard things like "you guys will have to come visit me in hoboken" and "i'll be around dont worry"...but i know the chances are that ill never see him again...oh well...the school girl crush was fun while it lasted...now its time to move on...so readers if you know any single, straight, 25plus guys SET ME UP!...its not that hard...i know you can do it...haha!...

oh man...is this my stop already?...it cant be i barely wrote anything yet...well i was on twitter for a while...so that could be where the time went...speaking of twitter if youre not following me you should be...haha... @ashalia11
